Foreshadow of Days To Come: Steak w/o Oil

Having bought a 4 pack of Guiness and a steak at Safeway a couple days ago. Tonite I decided to cook myself a steak dinner in my suite.

So first I ran my steak under cold water... then stuck it in the microwave to defrost...got the pan out, and the spachelor... then realized: no oil!

Lesson of the day:
If you don't got oil, don't cook steak. It stinks up the place AND you get a black pan!... not to mention the steak never got cooked.

8.5 min later...
voila! nuked the steak in the microwave for 8 min... result: rough on the outside, chewy on the inside...

So ends the excerpt from my pre-adventures...

Blah Guiness

Oh man, Guiness is too bitter!

Tastes almost like coffee for some reason... what did I buy???

Heavenly Todai

Today I was reunited with my one love in Cali...Todai!

All you can eat octopus sushi, dungenous crab, king crab legs, crepes, hot food, ramen, udon, terriyaki.... drrooooool.

I wonder if I will ever get tired of this place... With that, Seattle just became a whole lot better!!!

Oh, also bought a 4 pack of Guiness that was on sale! Where you ask?...
Ans: Safeway... the one and only!

2nd 27 Hour Day... Location: Seattle

Waking up at 4am Toronto time, I begin my 2nd ever 27 hour day...

My first time in the Seattle area...

Surprise #1: Residence Inn - had a kitchen, free Internet, free local calls -- no more $1.50/min phone calls!!! The room was very nice; much different than Egypt. The room looked almost like the studios that I am looking to rent! A tad pricey but very nice place.
Good Surprise #2: Todai located right across from Residence Inn... I am in heaven!!!
Good Surprise #3: Crabpot... Had Dungenous Crab there. It was MASSIVE!! Served w/ corn on a cob and potatoes, was very filling!

Today wasn't the best of days for me to drive. With me looking around while driving, looking at the map AND playing with the radio, I have to admit I was a hazard on the road. Highlight was when I almost rear-ended a car (but lucky the brakes worked and screeched like there's no tomorrow). There were little close calls here and there, but at the end of today: car is unscratched (knock on wood), and I am still in one piece (knock again on wood).

On another note, I am now trying to get used to what I term 'American driving'. This is a kind of driving where you stay at the speed limit and only go over it by 5 mph MAX. So my adventure continues.

Housecleaning

Have been cleaning my room and 'my areas' around the house these past couple days. Going very slow... Who knew I had accumulated this much junk in 13 years!!

Sooo dusty, so many memories... AND I found $40 bucks.. ha!
