Meet the parents day

After the successful proposal, next step was the first parents meet each other's parents day.

Have to say, I was pretty nervous - though I wasn't sure why.

Nevertheless, things went nice and smooth.. weeeeeeee

Big Day... Success!

Proposal at Shiro
At the same restaurant where we went for our first date, we would celebrate our 32nd month anniversary.

The plan:
We would have dinner at Shiro and then right around dessert, he would swing over and read her a book that he wrote about them (the cover shown here). This story was called "A Modern Fairy Tale in Motion" because the story was still unfolding. On the very last page it read:

"...you are the best thing that’s happened to me. You have made me a better person and I want to spend the rest of my life with you... Open the fortune cookie..."

In front of her was a dessert plate with 2 mochi and a very well placed fortune cookie. She opens the fortune cookie and in there was a prophecy:

“Your future is looking bright. Lucky numbers, 2, 19, 2015”

And in that instant, the prophecy came true.
Went down on one knee, pulled out a ring and asked, “Will you Marry Me?”

...PS. She said yes!

Salty's Sunday: AYCE Oyster…

Took parents to Salty's today.  Last few times it has been a disappointment - mainly no oysters and running out of oysters,  and poor quality food.

This time, they had oysters, and we went to town.  However, we ended up in washroom quite a bit after.  May have to reevaluate whether this is a tourist destination for my guests of S.town...

More Uni... Uni poison?

After a snack of uni, and a dinner that had fresh uni, today for lunch we had uni again!

During the evening, I did feel a little sick... did I get poisoned from too much Uni???

First world problems... ... .

Uni Galore and Mashiko

Was told there was fresh uni available and so took the next bus back home :).  Soo delicious.

After that, headed to Mashiko - where we ate an omakase, which also had uni too!

The pictures didn't come out too nice - they all had a nasty blue tint to it - but they were definitely yummy.   Oh, and we did get yelled at for asking for wasabi... lol.

(PS - pictures are in reverse order)
