Honeymoon - Day 5: Sri Lanka - Polonnaruwa

Breakfast was pretty good (below is a wrap I made), and for lunch, we were able to try some more local food (that they do not usually serve tourists).  The dish on the right was pretty yummy (it was a pork knuckle like dish - a bit crunchy, and spicy).

After a the hike yesterday, today we sent out to see Polonnaruwa, another UNESCO site.  There were tons of stupas, and the buildings and sculptures were pretty cool.  It was also really hot.  Some of the sites we had to go on barefeet, so our feet got really really hot!

At night, it was by far the worst night at the hotel.  There was no hot water or water for that matter.  The toilet also malfunctioned.  -1 star for today for the hotel.  Can't wait to go to the resort hotel tomorrow in Kandy.

Last night in the heart of the cultural triangle - bye bye Sigiriya!

Tally for the Day:
Water (375 Rm)
Lunch (1700 Rm)
Dinner (2000 Rm)
Tips for water monitor (100 Rm)
Total Spent for the Day: 4175 Rm = ~$ 30 USD
