Rounding out the trip, we went to Mitch's Sushi for dinner before going to the airport.
...Grilled abalone, Kama, Spiny lobster sashimi, Tako wasabi, Amaebi and Hamachi sashimi, and some miso soup to complete the meal. Mmmm...

Honolulu Thanksgiving - Day 3: Snorkeling in Hanama Bay and Hakkei
Today we booked an excursion to Hanama Bay. Not wanting to go on a boat dive, we decided to just do snorkeling instead. Luckily, today the sun was shining and so even though it was slightly cooler than it was back in June, we were able to just lay in the sun.
There was alot of fishes and corals to look at in the bay. I was pretty surprised since the last time we came here to scuba, a lot of the coral was dead. Saw pretty large fishes too, and also was able to swim with schools of fishes. Pretty happy with the outing!
After snorkeling, we went back to Waikiki and had our daily shaved ice and Gyu-kaku happy hour.
Then off we went to Hakkei for dinner in the evening! We had to re-order the Boba Shrimp Tempura (Arare Temprua) because it was just way too good. The Boba breading just made the tempura extra tasty.

Honolulu Thanksgiving - Day 2: Cafe Miro
In the evening, off we went to Cafe Miro. Was pretty excited since it was a French restaurant. Their website looked pretty delicious. On arriving, the decor was a bit lacking (they have checkered table cloth and the place looked more Hawaiian than French). The service was really good though - super attentive, and super friendly.
Their menu was a bit complicated to understand - but it was pretty fun to be able to pick and choose the parts of the menu that you want once explained. The food itself though was nothing spectacular (ie. Pig and the Lady or Hakkei would be a better choice). But from their website, it looks like their menu changes frequently so maybe it is worth another shot in the future. (FWIW though, because the menu differs from the website, there was a dish we wanted to have that actually wasn't there... so I guess it is a double edged sword situation)

Honolulu Thanksgiving - Day 1: Hunting for Turkey
Arrived late last night, so today we just bummed around. It was a tad cold and windy for going to the beach.
For dinner, went to a restaurant that had a Thanksgiving special. They served food really quickly - almost like they wanted us to eat and then leave. The place did have a nice atmosphere though.
